This morning I saw that my fitbit app has all the data from the day before yesterday, but yesterday is 0 steps and today is not syncing. It was syncing yesterday.
I restarted my phone and checked the permissions. I am at work, so I don't have my charging cable with me and I cannot disconnect and reconnect the watch for the next few hours.
I did update my phone (Fairphone 4) yesterday, could that have anything to do with it?
Is there a global outage like on the 17th of July?

Update: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. And reset the tracker.
I have connection again!!!
However, all data from yesterday (6th of august) is gone. No steps, no exersize. I synced the tracker several times, but yesterday remains 0 steps. Is my data gone? Any chance of still getting it back?

reboot phone and in fitbit app click top left icon, charge 6, and sync.
if not, on phone, go to bluetooth and forget and re-pair.

I rebooted my phone, but the data is still gone.
Today I only have steps. I just noticed I am missing
- sleep (2 days)
- cardio load
- steps (1 day)
- all exersize of yesterday and today
I have currently "fixed" it by adding a walk of the approximate length of the total steps of yesterday, and I will manually add sleep.
It is a bit of a shame of the cardio load, but I guess I am just happy that the tracker is syncing again

Tried that sereval times. I think the Fitbit is bad, it should remember the data of the past few days right?

easily.
I went back and reread the first post hoping to find out how old your charge 6 is.
You mentioned outage on July 17 - I can't remember...
You said you updated your phone so you might have to restart your phone and log off the fitbit app and log back on. If android that may mean go to settings/apps/fitbit and clear cache and clear data. Then next time you start fitbit app you should be required to log in. I use google. I don't know what you use. sync after all that. Again may have to re-do BT. You probably will have to re-do any fitbit app settings you changed. Starting to grasp at straws here. Hope that helps!

Hello @LadyNieske
Fitbit devices are supposed to hold up to 7 days of tracked data. It's surprising that your data didn't show up after you updated your phone and were able to sync again with the Fitbit app since it was less than 7 days.
If you've tried syncing multiple times and the data isn't there, sadly, I suspect that your data was lost.
Also, please be aware that you likely won't see a Cardio Target Load recommendation until you wear your Charge 6 for 7 consecutive nights.

Disconnected the tracker and reconnected it (it had mild syncing troubles again this time thankfully without lost data).
The missing data is still gone, however I do still have a cardio load recommendation. So that did not reset thankfully.

Hello @LadyNieske
Please review the Topics in the appropriate Fitbit Application Forum. I surmise you are using an Android device, as recently this same data displaying issue occurred for myself and many Android device users following an update. It think this has been resolved, although there may be a "catching-up period" for all your data to again appear as expected.

If the data missing is sleep, go to sleep, click top right icon, click edit, change wake time to when got up, save, look and see. No idea for the other data. No idea why this is happening. Phone is losing BT and fitbit app is getting the wrong idea, or something like that. Ran into it myself this AM. Many steps to get it to even sync.
