Charge 6 not syncing data

Im in the same boat as the rest, Charge 6 not syncing. This is a fairly new device, to replace a dead 5 & tbh I’m not impressed with it as I’ve had nothing but sync issues since I’ve had i t which is only 2/3m. It manually syncs after a while but atm only syncing my steps!!!

I only switched to Google account too when I got this cuz they made me. I’ve done all trouble shooting bar uninstalling the app & I’ve not done the latest update. I don’t see why they would be the issue when it’s only fairly new, I updated my account when I got this new one & the updates seem to mess things up worse. My faith in Fitbit has gone out the window & I will not be getting another. It’s gone to the gutters!

Hello, @Shel777, welcome back to the Fitbit Community,

Thanks for letting me know about this situation with your Charge 6 only syncing your steps and not the other data, I totally understand how you can fell, I'll do my best to help you with this.

I recommend you to update the firmware, since this is crucial for your Charge 6 to function correctly. After this, make sure you're wearing the Charge 6 correctly, so the heart rate and other data can be tracked properly.

I’ve only had the Fitbit for 2months, it was happening before the update. Please do not patronise me by suggesting I wear my Fitbit correctly. I’ve had a Fitbit for 3yrs, never had any issues with it gathering data or syncing until I got this Charge 6 & had to create a Google account!

My Charge 6 stopped syncing at the same time as Shelly. Don't tell me about how to wear, etc. I've had a Fitbit of some kind for the last decade. I've tried doing the update multiple times and it does not work. It doesn't seem to do anything and just grinds away. I've left it for as much as 3 hours and nothing. What can I do to get my Fitbit working again.

Hello @CaridadPineiro

Some users have reported that clearing the cache for the Fitbit app on their phone, followed by Force stop, has worked to get their Fitbits to sync with their phones. This method has worked well for me.

I found that doing a reset from the settings area and doing a fresh pair to
Bluetooth worked

@RiekoC How do I do this pls?

That has worked for me in the past, but not this time. Now I can't update, sync, or pair my Charge 6.

How about uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

---

On the main face, swiped down to settings on the device. Do a restart. Then
shut.off Bluetooth on ur device. When ur fitbit restarts, turn on Bluetooth
and have it look for ur charge. You may have to wait it again

Same here. Just started not working this morning. I’m so sick of this I’m thinking of ditching this for an Apple Watch.

Have done every single thing suggested and it still won’t sync. What the hell has happened to Fitbit?  You’re going to lost members big time if you can’t fix this and make sure your updates don’t cause these issues. No excuse for this!

Shell777, I discovered something on mine as it stopped synching as well.  In the FitBit app on your phone, in settings, I had to update the settings to synch with the phone.  I updated my phone recently and reinstalled all the apps but because of the history, it was looking for that old phone.  I clicked to synch with “this” phone and went through the quick settings update and it works now.  Hope that helps.

PS I should have included that to find this, in the very upper left corner of the main splash page there is a little icon that looks like a Fitbit next to a phone.  Click on that.  You will see your phone and the synch status.  You will see what ever devices you have as part of your account. At the bottom you will see a phone.  If the phone is not synching it will give you the option to connect.  Again, my issue was a new phone and settings not transferring.  I anticipate with updates to the app this may be reset and disconnected so it does not synch.  Might be the issue you are experiencing.
