Everyday I have issues with the charge 6 and the app. It stopped syncing sometime yesterday (fitbit watch showed over 9000 steps the last sync showed 7000)
Today no steps, cant sync. Tried syncing on the PC, nope, on the app , nope. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app..nope. The watch shows my steps, but the app, and PC do not
And this not syncing is a DAILY thing, I am just over this charge 6.
I should have bought an apple watch argh
frustrating

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @bazingayed.
Thanks for letting me know about this situation with the Charge 6 and the syncing with your cellphone and/or PC.
Just to clarify, at this time, the syncing can only be done via the mobile app, this means with the PC it will not work. Can you let me know if you have the app updated and your cellphone's system version, please?
Also, this article can help you with these kinds of situations.

Hello and welcome to the community, @Dhinu.
Thanks for explaining you experience with the syncing and support about your Charge 6.
I was able to confirm you contacted support via chat and they were able to provide you with a solution, if you have any other questions or concerns, my best recommendation would be to contact them.

I had no problem synthesizing my Charge 4 Fitbit.
Now that I have a Charge 6, the syncing is almost nonexistent. One would think that a company like Google could provide an app that actually works..
What is the story?

Agree with you.
The most horrible product. My new upgrade to charge 6 was a very bad decision. 90% times it doesn't sync and shows error " Unable to Sync"
What a frustrating Helpline. No resolution

It’s been the same for me too…charge 4 was ok. Now I’ve got a charge 6…I keep getting ‘unable to sync or update one or more of your apps” I’ve restarted it, unpaired then paired again..a few times. Spoke to Fitbit helpline (twice since i bought it 3 weeks ago) and they told me I need to wait for the new Fitbit app update on my phone…said should only be a couple of days. Still no update. I think I’m going to send it back…disappointed with it 😔

I should clarify it’s not syncing properly, and only syncs when I go into the app. That’s when some of my notifications appear on my Fitbit. Feel like I’m going round in circles

I have a charge 6 (last update Nov 2023) and a samsung phone. They worked together until 2 days ago. Now they are failing to synch.
They:
- will not resynch
- there is (what I belive is a recent) update which will not work. The top of the screen says "Update Tracker Software"
Both devices fully charged with the charge plugged in to power.
I have done this phone restart, but nothing has changed:
Swipe down from the clock screen to find the Settings app .
Tap the Settings app and then Restart Device and then Restart.
The phone app says it has resynched now, but when I look in the detail of the charge 6 page it says last synch was 2 days ago. It has a red alarm signal but I cannot go further.
How do I synch?
Must I update the phone first? If so, how?

I have the same issue. Sync problem was caused by the last update. Apparently they are trying to fix it.

Did they have you do anything other than unpairing and restarting everything and reconnecting? That worked for me 2 days in a row but now there is no connection so my watch is not even getting the pairing code

I don't unpair or reset anything. Initially, I initiate the phone restarting and immediately followed by the restart of my Fitbit Charge 6. This procedure typically resolves the sync issue. It is necessary to perform this procedure each time it fails to synchronize. It seems to be effective for me.

What did you do, mines not synced for 3 weeks now and after researching Fitbit / google yesterday unless I can get it working it’s off to Apple for me which is frustrating as in theory the charge 6 is an ace bit of kit

Restart phone, then restart fitbit. Eventually there was a firmware update and that seems to have resolved this for me. At least for now. So after you restart everything, check for updates in your app.

These are the steps I followed - after not pairing for 9 days.
Removed Fitbit app from the Android.- Samsung Galaxy
Shut the Android off.and Left it off for 10 minutes
Started the phone again.
Went to Google Play Store and re-installed Fitbit.
Shut bluetooth off & Waited a minute or two. Turned it back on.
Paired the devices - It took FIVE minutes for the pairing to complete. BUT - I am paired and up to date.
I had never waited longer than 2 minutes before. Only reason it completed this time is because I put the phone down in disgust. Next thing I know, I see it flashing a message.
Hope this helps someone because it is SO frustrating.

I had a problem after the 4.40 update. I had to "forget" the Charge 6 on my phone and then run the pairing dialog inside the Fitbit app. Problem solved .
