Charge 6 not tracking correct exercise

My charge 6 has recorded shorter mountain bike rides instead of the longer road bike ride I was on.  E.g. today I went on a 1:50 bike ride and my Charge 6 posted it to exercise as a 34 minute mountain bike ride.  With a completely different start time.  Today I went in and edited the exercise activity to correct it, saved it and the Charge 6 just reverted to the 34 minute mountain bike ride.
