Charge 6 stuck in code loop

I'm unable to connect my new Charge 6 to my Samsung Flip phone.  It's up to date with Android 13.  The app can see the device and code is sent but it keeps timing out and sending a new code and stuck in an endless loop.  I have done all the tips including but not limited to stopping and starting Bluetooth, restarting phone, forgetting and deleting my old device (Alta HR),  uninstalling and reinstalling Fitbit app, force stopping app and deleting data and cache.

Not sure where to go from here  it's fully charged as can be seen in photos but the loop is endless and it's not connecting.

I had a device connection issue after doing a reset on my Fitbit. Procedure that worked for me was to close Fitbit app, force restart the Charge 6 using the button on the charging cable.

Wait for the Charge 6 prompt to appear on the phone screen and click it. The pairing procedure then worked for me. I had tried adding new device from the Fitbit app, but that was failing.

Someone posted that using the charger to reset it is easier. I can not for the life of me reset my device using the button. Using the charger is significantly easier. The reset did fix this problem for me.

As far as I know, the button does not work to reset the device, there is an option in the setting menu, but if you can't get to that then put on the charger cable, plug in 3 presses of the button on the other end of the charger cable with about 1 second between should get you up and running.

Having the same issue. And I can’t reset my device even with the charger cable. Frustrating!

You just got your charge 6 correct? If that i so, you may see a prompt to update the tracker when you select the watch tile on the Fitbit app on your phone. Click it, plug your watch in, and wait for the update to finish. It should allow you to use the watch and remove the pairing code. The same thing happened to me, and I was able to fix it by doing the troubleshooting I have specified above.

Yes the Charge needed an update but it could not update until it was added as a device in the app.  I couldn't even get to that stage.

So what finally worked in the end was resetting the device using the charging cable tiny button BUT it took many, many hours of attempting it to get it to work.  I was doing it correctly, ensuring there was a buzz every time and holding for the correct length, but the general instructions are not accurate.  It took about 5 or 6 times of the button pushing to finally get it to realize and reset.  Then my phone picked up the fact that the Charge wanted to connect and I did it through the phone rather than the app.  But it was frustrating for many, many hours and it was not intuitive and pretty ridiculous.  I have had 2 Fitbits prior to this without any issues setting them up.

I finally got it to reset, and it started connecting, got to various percentages of connection, and then would say “lost connection” and the Fitbit would revert back to “download the Fitbit app”. I think I’ve had enough. 😂

The fist time I set up my Charge 6, it went like a dream. However, I had to reset it back to factory and then I had the same experience as you. Glad it's sorted now.
