Hello Fitbit community,
My Inspire 3 recently experienced the white screen of death. I was past my warranty period, however customer service is offering 35% off either the Inspire 3 or the Charge 6. I’ve been very happy with my Inspire 3, but I’m hesitant to get another one since my issues didn’t begin until after the last software update. At the same time I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews about the Charge 6. Which device do you prefer, and why?

My experience with charge 6 right now-- don't. Purchased in December, no problems until this past week: blank screen but it is still tracking data, battery life is practically nothing, updates run daily, screen has come back but the touch function is wonky--works sometimes, it is magically rebooting itself at odd times. All of the problems began the day that an update was prompted. After troubleshooting it through the forums (cleaned the contacts for the charger, let the battery run down to 0, rebooted with charger, rebooted on tracker when the touch screen worked, changed to a new clockface, changed back to my old clockface, changed to another new clockface, and on and on) I called Fitbit support today. Information was collected and "a team" will review my situation. That doesn't sound promising. Edit: while I was typing the reply, a offer to replace it was sent via email.

Hi @Kristin777 I've had my Inspire 3 since July 2023 and have had no issues with it. Not sure why some of the Fitbits have problems and some don't. Reminds me of my printer which had problems shortly after the warranty expired. I liked the printer well enough to buy it again and that one lasted over eight and a half years before it died. Sometimes things just happen. If customer support said they would get back with you, they will. If you don't need all the special features of the Charge 6, why not stay with the Inspire 3, since you already know how it works. Whatever you do, be sure to continue your journey of stepping!

I wore an Inspire 3 for about a year and half. Then, I recently purchased a Charge 6 on a special promotional deal.
Just out of curiosity, I have been wearing both simultaneously in order to compare how they track. Through the course of walking, running, working out at the gym, and just living my daily life, the results are similar. The Charge 6 credits me with fewer Active Zone minutes, by about 13%. Steps and Calories Burned were both within 1% on the two trackers. Sleep tracking results were also similar.
Both trackers have been updated to Firmware Version 210.26.
From my experience, it's a toss-up as to which one to use on a daily basis. The Inspire 3 is lighter and has longer battery life. The Charge 6 has a bigger screen and more apps. In terms of fitness tracking, though, I have seen very little difference between them.
