Charge 6 will not Stop auto detecting Walks

ANSWERED

Have chosen to have Fitbit ignore walks for auto detect.  I walk over 30 km a day at work and I don't consider that exercise but my Fitbit won't stop harassing me about these walks even though I specifically set it to ignore walks.

I've tried setting it to ignore it, and I've tried selecting 90 minutes and yet it still just bothers me every 15 minutes even though I've saved my settings.

Obviously I can just stop wearing the Fitbit while I'm working, but I still want to log my calories and everything else. I just don't want to be harassed. I'd prefer just to use my clock face as I need to know what time it is throughout my work day.

@Hotdoggable   Those are the SmartTrack activities.  Swipe left/right on your Charge 6 screen to the Exercise app.  Select Walk.  Swipe up to the settings.  Look for Walk Detect or Auto Start.  Toggle it off.

@Hotdoggable   I looked at your public profile and can see that you have been a Fitbit user for a few years.  From your post, it sounds like you are setting your SmartTrack to ignore walks.  SmartTrack is the feature that can recognized seven different activities.  The Charge 6 has a different auto recognition feature that starts the Exercise app.  It will track GPS if the setting is on.  It goes by the term Walk Detect or Auto Start, depending on your firmware version.  Open the Exercise app, choose Walk, then swipe up on the tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen.  Look for Walk Detect or Auto Start and toggle it off.

This feature is on six shortcuts: Walk, Run, Bike, Elliptical. Rowing , and Spinning.  You must turn them off in each shortcut.

I'll give it a look. However, this problem has only started two updates ago. Before these two updates I had no issues in this regard.

Thanks!! I really appreciate it. I just discovered an entire tier of options on my Charge 6 thanks to you.  Just when I thought I navigated every possibility on this thing.  Cheers.

@Hotdoggable   Happy to help.  Please keep in mind that this feature is in five other shortcuts and they must be turned off individually.  The accelerometer sees what it sees --  many people say they get a bike ride from mowing the lawn.  Odd things like that.
