Charge 6 won't turn on

Hello, I purchased a Fitbit charge 6 on november 2024 on amazon and i have used it daily and love it. Recently I was at a friend's house and chilled in the pool for a while, after this my watch won't turn on. The pool depth is around 4 feet and is more like a jacuzzi but bigger. Is there a way to fix it or is the warranty still valid?

Seems ironic that this was the way the watch died because I always take it off to shower.

I really hope there is a way to make it work again.

A warm welcome to the community @Guillermo2312

Thank you for taking the time to share with me the details regarding this difficulty with your Charge 6.

Please know that if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.

In addition, try to restart the device following the points listed in this help article. Try both ways to restart. If you've done the above but to no avail, may I know if your Charge 5 vibrates during the restart process? If it didn't, I'd recommend trying the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again.

Hello @Guillermo2312

By any chance, did you enable the Water Lock feature on your Charge 6 before going into the pool? If so, that feature might still be enabled. I found that it takes very strong firm tapping on the clock face to turn off the Water Lock feature. You could try tapping firmly on the display to see if that will restore the clock face.

If none of the suggested troubleshooting works to restore your Charge 6, the next step would be to contact Support (<-- click link). If they determine that your Charge 6 is defective, they will let you know what are your options under warranty.

Thanks everyone for your help!
I was not able to restart the watch, i followed the instructions in this page:
I have used a wall charger and my pc and nothing has worked, the screen of the watch is completely black. Also I checked the pins and they seem to be ok. The watch was not in water lock.
I guess I just have to contact support now.

I could not copy the link of where I got the restart instructions for some reason.
