My Fitbit wouldn’t sync earlier today so did a reset and lost the data that was stored on the Fitbit (now seems to have lost a few hours of actual). Can this be recovered?

I had the same issue a few weeks ago. Contacted Fitbit support and they said it could take up to 72 hours for the data to sync. It never did. I reached back out and then they basically told me it won't. Hope you have better luck than I did.

Hello @Lvernon
Did you restart your Charge 6 either from the Settings menu on the device or by using the charging cable that came with your Fitbit? If so, your data should still be in your tracker and should eventually sync. Hopefully, this is the case.
If you used Clear Data from the Settings menu on your Charge 6, then that was a factory reset and your data that wasn't synced was lost.
Although this won't help you now, this help article (<-- click link) has the recommended troubleshooting steps to try when you're having syncing issues.

Thanks, I did not clear the data from the Charge 6. I only removed it from the app, then re-added it.

Hi @jamiefromwi
I'm not sure why your data didn't sync to the app when you re-added it. I know there are users who have more than 1 Fitbit device and regularly switch between them.
From what I've read, Fitbit devices usually maintain tracked data for about 7 days. As far as I know, your data should have synced when you re-added it to the app.
The next time you're noticing your data isn't syncing in the app, try doing a force stop on the Fitbit app from the App settings on your phone. Yesterday, my data wasn't syncing in the app. I did a force stop on my Fitbit app, opened the app, and my data finally synced. I did a manual sync to make sure and all was good.

Why are there so many issues with the Charge 6?
Is this a defective model?
