Charge model Fitbits unreliable?

I have been in on Fitbit Charge model watches since my initial purchase of a Charge 3 in May of 2019.

  • Charge 3 purchased in May of 2019
  • Charge 4 purchased in September of 2021
  • Charge 5 purchased in July of 2023
  • Charge 6 purchased in December of 2023

My concern is that I kept every single Charge I owned until it failed in one way or another.  The Charge 3 and Charge 4 I got a couple of years out of.  The Charge 5 lasted only 5 months, and now my Charge 6 is failing after 4 months.  The Charge 5 had a weird menu issue, and the Charge 6 is failing to track my sleep accurately now.  After failing to track at least a couple of hours per night (at the start, the end, or in the middle of the night), I find that I have to delete sleep logs and edit the longer ones to start and end at the right time.  Then it will fill in the blanks, so to speak, although sporadically, it does not show REM and Deep cycles.

I don't want to just buy another to replace my Charge 6 if others are seeing the same kind of failure rates.  Perhaps I need to look at another model, but my wife's Sense 2 is now starting to fail too.  Any ideas about what is going on?

I am having many issues with my Charge 6:it will not sync, time shows January( it’s April), will not pair with my iPhone no matter what I try. I am so tired of fighting with it, researching, trying every suggestion that I find to no avail or having to do it all again in a few days. I may have to give up on Fitbit and try a different brand. I have had at least 6 Fitbit's over the years-this one is the most frustrating.
