Consistent pairing and tracking issues with Charge 6

This is a bit of a rant - do beware 😂

I’ve had a Fitbit for years. I’m seriously at the end of my rag with them now though. I’ve never not had issues with them pairing and doing random things. I know all about the process for reinstating and pairing the device, reconnecting it etc etc.

The issues I’m currently facing:

I ALWAYS have to refresh multiple times to get all the data come through on to the app. And sometimes things don’t show up at all (today it is sleep and readiness).

I think I have to have the app ‘always track location’ on iOS to make sure the GPS connection doesn’t knock off after ten minutes into a run (this is nothing to do with signal, it does this EVERY TIME). So does this mean I either have to provide my location 100% of the time to Google OR change the permission each time I want to exercise and then change it back after? Very annoying. It never used to do this, so this is a new thing.

The app tracks my runs as walks if I track through the app (to get round above issue). I’m definitely running (and I know others have this issue). It started once the app updated to the new version.

It asks me to turn on Bluetooth when the Bluetooth is on.

Yadda. The list goes on.

It’s just very annoying how buggy Fitbit is. It requires constantly trawling these help forums for help. The amount of times I’ve had my device replaced because it’s randomly broken before the warrantee is up is wild. I actually think it might be each time. While this service is good, the amount of time I’ve wasted trying to work out what is wrong with the device makes it actually not worth it.

Why can’t it just work?!

Same here. Very frustrating and I’m about over Fitbit also. May as well buy an Apple Watch

Same issue. Won't sync. Data doesn't show on watch. Support said to just use the app not the watch. But if it won't sync then neither are accurate. You would think after years fitbit could actually make a quality product
