Different steps app and watch

Hi there, my app often shows different (mainly more) steps than my watch. Not much, sometimes tens, sometimes hundreds. But still strange right? Also after syncing a couple of times right after eachother, the steps in the app change every time. The other way around the scores in the app, like recovery, does not sync towards the watch. Even not after manual syncing. Thanks for your thoughts!

Hello @MdP24

There is a known issue on the Fitbit side with step tracking and properly syncing with the Fitbit app. The team is aware of the issue and has been working on a fix.

That said, there's an update for the Fitbit app for both Android and iOS users that recently started rolling out. The Android version is 4.26.1 and the iOS version is 4.26 or 4.26.1. The updates tend to rollout in waves. So, if you don't see the update available to you right away, keep checking.

If you already have updated your Fitbit app and still have the syncing problem, there isn't any troubleshooting to do on your side. We will have to wait for the fix to rollout.

You're welcome @MdP24 .

Just to let you know, I saw a Moderator post today (30 Sep 2024) confirming that they are having issues with data syncing and that the team is working to quickly resolve the problem. I'm glad to see that they are acknowledging the issue.
