Does Charge 6 have the relax app?

ANSWERED

I am looking at upgrading from my charge 5 to a new tracker. The lack of a guided breathing app on the 5 was a disappointment (Ie had I known I would not have bought it). Before considering the charge 6 can you confirm the relax app is back in?

I don’t think so.

If you use Fitbit Compare Products, you can see it doesn’t have “Relax breathing sessions”.

well, then I don't see a reason to get the Charge 6. I was very disappointed it wasn't on my charge 5....it's one of the only apps I actually used on my old Fitbit besides tracking steps and telling the time!

I'm not sure what the Relax app is/was, but I just bought a Charge 6 five days ago, and the companion Android app has quite a few guided breathing meditations if that would suit your purposes. They log your heart rate and poll you for your anxiety level, which  There's even a goal for mindful days, and it calculates a stress management score factoring those sessions in. I can't yet speak to how much I actually trust that score yet, but it's fairly integrated into the product. Here are some screen shots:

That is very similar to what my Charge 5 has. Thank you for taking the time to share.

On the old charges, there was a built in screen for guided breathing where a dot would grow and shrink so you could match your breaths with it. I don't being my phone to bed and try to to use screens at all after 9pm.

With the app on the Fitbit itself, I would use the 2min or 5min guided breathing every night in bed to calm my mind and head off to sleep.

There are a TON of guided breathing and relaxation apps for the phone, I miss having it on my wrist.

I was excited about the Charge 6, especially with the new magnification feature, but now I find out it doesn't have the little breathing exercise screen. It might seem silly to others but it was a big feature for me. Others share that I can just get a smartwatch or use the in app options, but the whole point it to not be connected to the internet or have anything too complicated. Just a fitness tracker that I can see with my farsightedness and this simple breathing exercise. I hope they bring it back in the Charge 7 and later models. 😐

As a guided Breathwork Instructor, I agree with all these comments. I have no clue who works for this company in product development, but this app was one of my favorite on my Ionic because I was doing breathwork in 2016 before most people had ever heard of this or understood its importance, but now 8 years later people are beginning to understand the power of using our breath intentionally. I cannot believe Google doesn’t allow the relax app to work on Charge 5 or 6. Without sounding unprofessional, it’s honestly the dumbest decision ever. People need to being their consciousness to relaxing and ON THEIR WRIST!!! Now more than ever. It’s the key reason I just tried buying the Charge 6 which didnt even work when it arrived and I had ro return it, and now tried the Charge 5 whicu now Indont know if I will bother even keeping and may just return. HELLO … I mean its common sense that people need to PUT THEIR PHONES DOWN MORE - to destress! Thats y entire point of having a relax app accessible on your wrist, so rhey dont have to stare at a screen for more hours a day which is counter productive to relaxing. Yet your developers Im sure get paid millions, and, yet they cant figure that out? Add the Relax app back to the Charge 5 & 6 please! Its called a tracker for a reason.
