Exercise details revert back despite manual updates

This has been an issue with the Charge devices (and the Fitbit app) for YEARS. Whenever I record a run with the device, I'm unable to edit details after the fact. I often need to adjust the distance (I don't use GPS tracking), but when I edit and save, within a second or two, the distance changes back to whatever was initially recorded by the device. As a result, I have to manually enter my run in order for it to display accurately. As I shared in a previous post, this is becoming impossible since the app has chosen not to display the exact minutes and seconds that are recorded.

This issue has now extended to walks that are autodetected. As seen in the screenshots below, my Charge 6 grossly underestimated my steps, so I attempted to edit the distance. Upon doing so, the calories were cut in half, and with about two seconds, all data reverted back to what was originally recorded. This is stupid and annoying.

Same problem. Seeing this be an open issue for SIX YEARS now with no resolution is mind boggling. I just got back into running and went with fitbit. The fact that they can't fix this after such a long time is making me heavily consider returning this and looking for a company that address QOL bugs. Really disappointed by the lack of action

Same issue as Megan, JenniCymru, and JonSobo. Fitbit Pixel doesn't count yardage in swim workout doing kicking (with a kick board, so no accelerometer activation on the arms). Fitbit app takes the distance correction, then reverts to original (wrong, recorded) yardage after one or two clicks in app.

Fitbit, Google, Pixel, please correct this.

I eventually abandoned fitbit all together. This issue has been open for years and they've never attempted to fix it. Ended up getting a Garmin watch instead. Vastly superior in every way, I highly recommend.
