@triad   I hope I’m not making a complete fool of myself.  I don’t use a Charge 6, but I use a Sense 2.  Rowing Machine was added to the Sense 2 and Versa 4.  Fitbit advertised their new 40+ exercise shortcuts with those devices.  The Charge 6 also lists 40+ in its features and specs.  It’s a long list to scroll through, but take another look.  I would be stunned to learn that it isn’t on the Charge 6.

Unfortunately it’s not on the 6 as that’s the device I moved to from a
charge 5.

Have you tried using the general "workout" shortcut and then editing the name (can we still edit activities? It used to be possible at least) of the workout to Rowing in the app when completed?

Really the rowing shortcut is just a label anyway, it doesn't provide any additional metrics/tracking like other brands of watches do (some have stroke rate, power etc). Actually this seems to be the case with most, if not all of Fitbit's exercise shortcuts, they are merely just a label to make sorting/identifying easier.

Yes that is the exercise activity I use.
While my focus is on caloric burn, heart rate, and strokes / distance it falls short in recording any of these. I may be expecting unreasonable results or not aware of what to expect in terms of data from rowing.
I row 10,000 meters and charge 5 and 6 record 200 calories burned, 4000 steps & 1-1/2 miles, which don’t seem to mathematically compare to running / jogging 10,000 meters / 6 miles. Also don’t recognize accurate results with spinning either.
The charge series devices are the cleanest tracker to wear, but for other than running are not up to expectations.
I’ll stick with thd charge as good for hydration and food intake & are least bulky of tracking devices.

You might be disappointed in that case then as the watches that do have rowing as an exercise shortcut only record duration, calories burned, zone minutes and heart rate. In comparison my watch from another brand measures stroke rate, total number of strokes, heart rate (from a chest strap), calories and lots more.

This is a screenshot from a Fitbit rowing workout, quite basic in terms of available data.

@triad you are wrong. Charge 6 has Rowing Machine exactly under that name:

It's not recognized automatically. Swipe left to get to the Exercise tile, scroll down to the "More" button and then you'll see the list.

Good
I’ll search it out and use

@Triletics   Thank you for adding the photo.  I feel so much better.

@N8teGee   We still can't rename any activities.

@Triletics thanks for confirming. I didn't have a Charge 6 to check, so it's good to know that it is in fact present.
