Fitbit Charge 6 GPS map not available after walk

Following the daily walk the GPS map is displayed when the exercise has been stopped on the app. The problem is when I try to access the map at a later date as there is a heart rate zone but no GPS map to be found

Without a screen shot, I'll ask. Does the app display an empty box where the GPS map should be found?

Morning,

assuming that I’m on the right screen, no there’s not Evan empty box.

Lately, my GPS tracks have been baffling to look at. Just nonsensical looking tracks, as if the distance scale was off by like 5x. The distance recorded actually seems accurate, though, so either it's ignoring GPS for distance tracking or there's something goofy about how the track is being overlaid on the map.

I don't want to do anything to the device to troubleshoot it, however, since it's been connecting reliably (and nearly immediately!) to my NordicTrack spin bike for about the same amount of time 🤣

Problem solved,

On a recent walk I set the ‘Fitbit app’  to walk and started the exercise. Some time through the walk I tapped the tracker to read an incoming message only to discover that the charge 6 was also tracking the exercise.

I knew from the early days of using the app and the tracker together there was a conflict which caused the app to give erroneous readings, e.g. the GPS would shoot out in different  directions which added a ‘ghost’ path.

Remembering that the charge 6 had been updated recently with additional exercises, I checked the settings of the exercises to discover that they had been set to ‘Auto Start’.

The ‘fix’: On the tracker, charge 6 in this case, <open the tracker>, <swipe left> to the exercises, <scroll> up or down to the walk exercise, select and scroll down to the ’Auto Start’ and switch off.

I have the same problem. I used Outdoor workout with the GPS set to internal to track my soccer match activity and would reliably get a crazy map of my movement during the game... since an firmware update in the past 6 months this has stopped. GPS doesn't even work for a walk on a sunny day.
