Fitbit Charge 6 battery charging

How long does charging take?

I received my new Fitbit Charge 6 today and out of the box the battery was at 40%. I plugged in the charger and left it to Charge for a few hours. When I came back the battery was only at 55%. So, I let it continue changing for 2 more hours. After 4 hours of total charging the battery is only at 69%.

Is that normal? 4 hours of charging for the battery percentage to only go up 30%

I've read a full 100% Charge should only take a few hours. I'm going on 5 hours now and it's still under 70% charged.

Hi @sukaltu01, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with the issue you are experiencing while charging your Charge 6.

Similar issues like the one you are experiencing are usually related to a poor power source. However, you should see a message on the device that the energy level of the take is not enough.

Plug the charging cable that came with your Charge 6 into a USB port on a computer, a safety-certified USB wall charger, or other safety-certified, low-energy power source. The take must comply with certain voltage and current requirements to properly charge your device.

Charging your device to 100% may take 1-2 hours.

In addition, i noticed you mentioned your device is new and just came out of the box. However, make sure the charging contacts on the back of your device are clean. You can take a look at our help article Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
