Fitbit Charge 6 not syncing with android

A while ago, I noticed the message "To sync reliably, let Fitbit link to your Charge 6." at the top when I went in to the Fitbit app.  Starting yesterday, it will not sync at all, even steps and activity/exercise that I start on the actual fitbit.  It will record on Fitbit but none of the steps or activity will come up on the app.  I tried tapping on that message at the top that requests linking Fitbit to Charge 6 and each time, I get the message "There was an error while trying to bluetooth paid your device.  Would you like to try again?"  I've tried multiple times.  The phone I'm using is a Samsung Galaxy s10e, it's an older one but this is the first I've had issues with the Fitbit app that I have not been able to resolve.

Steps I've taken:
1.  Going into settings and turning bluetooth off for a minute then back on, then trying to sync.
2.  Checking to see if phone has the latest updates, which it does.

3.  Running a scan on my phone's AGV AntiVirus then using the AVG Cleaner to clear out cache and junk.
4.  Restarting the phone
5.  Going into Fitbit app and clearning data and cash, then trying.
6.  Uninstalling the Fitbit app and reinstalling, logging in again, and going through permissions, then trying.

Even after all of these steps, the Fitbit is still not synching and I keep getting that message at the top.  Is this a current glitch with Fitbit or is this an issue on my end that I just can't figure out?

While I didn't take all the same steps to try to fix it, I had the same problem with it not syncing with my Android. It had been 10 days, such a pain!

Anyway I tried restarting my Fitbit device instead. It fixed it completely. Hope this helps!

Hi @Holly23 and @Hannah__B, thanks for stopping by, I hope you're doing well.

Let me help you with the syncing issues you are experiencing with your Charge 6 @Holly23. I appreciate all the troubleshooting steps you have already tried.

@Hannah__B, thanks for your contribution.

A complete list of troubleshooting steps can be found in our help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

See if there are something you haven't tried yet.

Finally, you may try syncing via another mobile device or tablet so we can discard that the syncing issues are related to your mobile.

Thank you.  It seems to be syncing now, not all of the data but all that I really use, and care about, is there.  Hopefully it's on the right track now.  The message at the top, ""To sync reliably, let Fitbit link to your Charge 6.", is no longer there, so apparently worked this time after going through the additional steps to try that you provided.  Again, thank you.
