I recently upgraded from a Charge 5 (the battery failed after 2 years), to a 6. I had a Charge 2 previously and years of data were stored on the Fitbit app. When I activated the 6, and was forced to switch to the Google app, all my Fitbit data was gone. The only way to view it, is to logout of Google and back into Fitbit. However, you then can't add your new device (without logging on to Google) rendering it useless. I blame Google for complete disregard for long term Fitbit customers.

My Charge 5 died same as yours and so I thought I was upgrading by getting a charge 6. I have had nothing but grief ever since and now even though I get totally out of breath, break a sweat and feel like passing out I can’t seem to get my active zone minutes and cardio load to register correctly. Most days I’m lucky to get a 1 or 2 on one or both. Useless and the biggest source of my frustration and stress than anything else so I deleted them from my data tracking. Slowly but surely and bit by bit google is fazing away the Fitbit.
