Fitbit account / How to move to Google

Decided to bite the Holley and migrate to Google account but I failed at the first hurdle. I selected my existing Google account but then was told it’s already associated with a Fitbit. I stupidly clicked Ok to continue and now I’m logged into my Google account but none of my Fitbit history is there. I can’t see anywhere to log out and log back in with my old Fitbit account..  And so I don’t really know where to go from here. Any advise?

I can help you with logging out and back in but before that, I need to know if you're on Apple or Android.  The layout of the app is slightly different on both and I can only help if it's Android.

Also, since this has nothing to do with your Charge 6 and everything to do with the app, I'll move your post to the appropriate app forum once you tell me which platform you have.

Hello @Lisa1985!  Welcome to our community forums!

Thank you for letting us know that you want to move your account to Google.

To move your account it is necessary to use a google email that has never been used for Fitbit.  In the following help article you can find the steps to move your account How to move your Fitbit Account to a Google Account

Hi. Sorry I dropped this bi managed to log into fitbit and get my old data back. But I guessing still need to more to google before the deadline coming up. I think the problem was my gmail has been already used for a fitbit. Not sure how/when. Can I purge that data and just load the existing data?  I don’t really want to have to start a new Google account just for fitbit

I'm a bit confused as to what you're looking for.  Assuming you were able to log into your older account, there's no need to do anything further until prompted by Google, who will then walk you through the process and all your data will travel with you.

If you're talking about deleting the new account, you can do that, but you'll need to make sure your tracker is connected to your old account before doing so.  The historical information that's on the tracker will transfer to your old account, and then you should be able to delete your new account.
