Fitbit charge 6 isn’t tracking

ANSWERED

Hi!

I’ve had my fitbit charge 6 for two days and it hasn’t been measuring any statistics except my HRH during sleep.  I’ve already tried many of the tips on the online forum, but nothing seems to work so far. I have an iPhone 14 and am using fitbit with the google account option.

I manually start a live sleeping session in the app when I go to sleep and of course keep the watch on all night. I mainly bought the fitbit to get some insight into sleep statistics, so it feels like a bummer that it’s not tracking anything so far.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi, @CarolienK , in order for your Fitbit to give you full sleep statistics you absolutely must NOT manually start a sleep session in the app!!.  The option to manually start sleep is a leftover option for use for early Fitbits which did not have a heartrate function, or when a heartrate could not be recorded.

The beauty of more modern Fitbits, like the Charge 6, is that it can do it all automatically.  So please do NOT start a sleep session…. Just go to bed wearing your Fitbit, not too tightly and not to loosely, make sure it has a good amount of battery remaining (ideally more than 20%) and just let it do its own thing.

In the morning, just let your Fitbit sync to your app to get full stats.  Please note that for some sleep info your sleep may need to be recorded for up to two weeks to get all your benchmarks, normal ranges, and stats. For the full lowdown, please see this help article which explains how to track your sleep using your Fitbit.

I hope this helps!  Welcome to the forums.  Please post again if you have any further questions about sleep tracking or anything else about your new Fitbit.
