Fitbit ship date keeps getting pushed back...customer support no help

Is it time for me to just give up on Fitbit?

My Charge 5 broke after just over a year. I decided to give Fitbit another try since they offered me a discount on the Charge 6. I ordered on May 20th and it said "ships in late May." Didn't ship. Then, it shifts to "ships in late June." I contacted customer support and they were no help. I contacted them again today, and now they claim it will ship in LATE JUNE.

I've been using Fitbits for 10 years, but these recent experiences have been such a turnoff. Should I just go with a different brand of fitness tracker? They won't even give me an accurate ship date! Any advice? Is anyone else having this issue.

Hi @petlover1001  not that I know how their stock is, but think of all the graduations, birthdays and Father's Day gifts of the Charge 6 that might have happened.

Just found your thread from your comment on mine. I had to reach out countless times through different avenues - email, live chat, and Twitter, for their managers to contact me to give me a false sense of reassurance only to ignore me again.

Their tracking system is completely broken as it seems like no one is updating the inventory on the site, there's been a clear divide between departments in the information that they are able to access and share too. It feels like they are definitely in the midst of pushing everyone towards Google or even other competitors at this point. Again, mine said it was supposed to ship in March but I ordered in April only to receive it in May.

I got my fitbit charge 6 on 12 of May had a quite a few problems that bands fall off. The sleep data often does not show in the watch. It does not sync much with out doing it manually. The GPS is rubbish. I a Huawei  band before but that company has been restricted due to security concerns and is no longer available in the good app store.  Apart from an Apple watch which has a rubbish battery and I dont have an apple phone there is no good substitute for a fitbit. Garmin and Mi band sleep tracker is rather toilet according to the youtube scientist that does tests on devices. I did wonder about the google watch as I paid 140 for my fit bit less than a month ago but the google watch is 1 is not much more than than that on amason apart from possibly having a strap that does not fall off I am not sure it has any more health features, in fact it appears to have less. In terms of health tracking sleep and heart rate may be the cornerstone. Althought fitbit charge 6 may be rubbish at GPS and not as good as running or cycling as some devices even cheaper ones. Running and cycling is not really health metric that needs to be accurately measure. Health is having a decent fitness. Its not about running a marathon or 10 miles a day in an hour or pushing for best times. These may be unhealthy things to do. I used to run 10 miles a day in an hour in my 20s. I still run once a week. I am not sure pushing for a higher speed is optimal for health. Good sleep is something to aim for and something that requires accurate measuring. With running can measure times the old way with a stop watch but going for PB in middle age or possibly young age is not ideal. A marathon is probably bad for the heart particular in middle age. Trying to get the best sleep score is good for health trying to get quickest run or cycle is probably not. Step count for those that use it probably is a benefit as about a good baseline. The step count people often dont run or cycle as far as gather so the step count is good to work up. I am guessing this stress monitor is good but I dont have premium yet so not looked in to it yet as think need premium for data. For measuring running and cycling better cheaper devices but for health I have not noticed a non fitbit one yet. It may be the charge 6 is a bit of a lemon but the other fitbits are better. Having said that is the strap would stay on then would be good enough
