Can't see my friends list anymore

My active friends don’t show up anymore.,How do I get them back? When I click on Show Others their names are there but it indicates their step Count is Unavailable now. We were helping to motivate each other to keep moving.

Hi @GayleMW   Google made this change a few days ago in preparation for the update to the Google Health app.  Unfortunately, Google is removing the ability to message your friends.  9to5google   Jump to Social.

Hi there, @GayleMW. Welcome to the Fitbit Communtiy Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. 

As @LZeeW  mentioned to you, the Fitbit app is about to change to the Google Health app and some things are changing, when you update to the Google Health app, you can manage your friends again and compete with them on your weekly leaderboard which now supports steps and Cardio Load. For the time being,  you won’t be able to add or remove friends, and your leaderboard won’t update. This pause is to help prepare your experience in the Google Health app. On the old Fitbit app, social experiences started being locked since May 12, 2026.
