Ftibit Charge 6 and MFP sync failure

Just got my Charge 6 and am having a heck of a time trying to figure out the sync.  I started off using Health Connect then I was getting double counts of exercises and steps on both apps.  Then I disconnected the apps and tried to sync MFP directly with Fitbit.  Now I see the exercises I entered in MFP in the Fitbit app, but NOT vice versa.  

I disconnected Fitbit in the MFP app and website and revoked MFP access in the Fitbit app mulitple times; then reconnected with the same result.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I eventually found, (no thanks to Google) after deleting and reinstalling the App several times with no solution working that if I plugged in the charge cable and connected it to the charge 6 as if I was going to recharge my device that there is a round ring on the USB end of the cable. Press and hold that down for 5 seconds and it resets the device.  BINGO !!!     All been fine and working and syncing just fine.  
I found this after much searching the internet. Many frustrating hours trying to find an answer to my problems. Google was USELESS, never a reply or notification that I had replies to my posts.  I don’t have one word of praise for them.  Think the only people who think they are good are those that work for them. I think they are rubbish.  Hope this helps.

@ChrisHut the restart procedure will be found in the help files.Your user manual also explains this. 

You want to press the button on the Charger 3 times. Or unplug and plug the cord in 3 times.
