Future spotify or generic media controls?

My charge 4 broke so used it as an excuse to get the new Charge 6. Pretty disappointed that they have YouTube, but not Spotify or at least some generic media controls. It was so handy on my charge 4 when working out! Will there be a possible update in the future?

Considering that Fitbit/Google removed 3rd party app support earlier this year, it doesn't seem very likely that the Charge 6 will get support for Spotify. But, it could happen. 

Generic media controls does sound like a good idea. There's a Product Feedback forum (<-- click link) where you can make this feature request and other users can vote on the suggestion. From what I understand, the developers read the feature requests submitted in this forum.

Ah okay! Thanks. Yeah, at least if we had something generic people wouldn't need to be forced into one platform. I'll definitely jump on that feedback forum, thank you.
