Getting a healthy RHR

Hey everyone. I am a 24M 189 pounds who has a RHR in the range. Rarely I see it at. I am not super active but sometimes I walk or play basketball. What can I do to lower my RHR and what is the healthy range?

Also wanted to call out that a few days ago I played basketball for the first time in a month and RHR after stayed at the range for 3 hours. Eventually at the 5 hour mark it went down to below 100. Is this a normal thing?

Hello & welcome @wandefli3

You might be interesting in reading this Fitbit article about heart rate (<-- click link), which provides a brief explanation on how one's Resting Heart Rate (RHR) is calculated as well as the typical range for adults.

Unless I've been sitting quietly for an extended period, I usually don't see my heart rate at the RHR during the day. So, you rarely seeing your real time heart rate at your RHR is normal.

I'm a little confused by your "call out". Are you talking about your real time heart rate after playing basketball? Your RHR is calculated once a day as part of your Health Metrics data after you've slept and wouldn't change after completing an activity.
