Google forces Fitbit customers to move to Google accounts

As I said, I'm extremely disappointed. This Charge 6 has all the features I want vs other products. My past experiences with Fitbit support were very favorable. I'm appalled that Google forces Fitbit customers to move to Google accounts and uses deceptive marketing practices to sell its products.

Google will sell your personal medical and location data to third parties you can't control and at best will market products to you and at worst will have your personal info hacked and used in bad ways.

Specifically responding to being hacked, I can’t imagine your data is less safe with Google than with Fitbit.

Jan 23 Google hacked via T-Mobile. 2018 there were 52 million Google
accounts hacked. I'm not saying Google is negligent. It's just a really
really big target, like the IRS which has been hacked, too.

I fully agree. It is shameful that Google has acquired Fitbit data and is now forcing users to migrate their data to Google. I bought a Fitbit 6 and tried to set it up after my Fitbit 4 had died. It quickly became apparent that I had to move my Fitbit account to Google. I’ve been with Fitbit since they first launched.
i exercised my rights and returned the watch and am now deleting all my Fitbit data. I hope the market will force Google to give Fitbit users the right to separate their health data from Google’s acquisition. But I suspect users will be too lazy to act. C’est le vie!! 🙄🤬
