Heart Rate Sensor and Notifications - Nothing but problems!

I've gone through 3 Fitbit Charges within 3 years:

- Charge 4: worked great but eventually died from water exposure

- Charge 5: Worked great for a year then the screen went black (device still worked though)

- Charge 6: Nothing but problems! Notifications never ping my phone and the heart rate sensor is constantly failing. I use it with a Pixel 8 Pro, you would think a Google + Google product would play nice together, but guess not.

I've tried restarted the watch and my phone, disabling settings and re-enabling, clearing cache, un/re-installing everything. Some times it works, some times it doesn't some times it magically fixes itself.

Today, I have no heart rate sensor and no notifications.

I love it when it's working, but all these issues are simply inexcusable.

And support doesn't even know this is supposed to work. Been reporting this problem since late last year. A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT. Tried to get a refund but all I got was a run around...

I have the same issue with the google pixel watch 2 and google pixel 8 pro. Heart rate sensor is practically dead. Works for 10 seconds when putting on the watch and then is dead. The ECGz doesn't work. Don't get notifications and shows phone disconnected most of the times. Sleep tracking also doesn't work since the HR sensors are dead.

Hello @mitchell_goa

Have you had a chance to contact Pixel Watch Support about the issues with your heart rate sensor? Your watch is less than a year old and should be under warranty.

did you happen to charge fully, and then leave on charge for installation and sync pros.?

Yea, I did. They told me to get in touch with fitbit support, which I did. Fitbit support said they would escalate my case to higher tier of support and to look out for an email. So let's see 🤞🏻

I wish you luck but I've gotten that false reply more than once.
