Charge 6 - Heart rate monitor

I just bought a charge 6. After setting it up I can't figure out how to read my heart rate. I swipe to the heart rate monitor and it reads nothing. I've checked my settings and they are all turned on, I even restarted my device and still have no look with the heart rate monitor.

I recently sent one back thinking the device was broken and got a replacement and have the same issue. Am I missing part of this in the setup? Has anybody else had this issue?

One suggestion: On phone app Today screen, look at Heart tile and click on it. See if it shows a graph of your heart rate throughout the day as you have been wearing it.  If you have a graph there, it means it is recording heart rate but just not displaying it on your watch, which wouldn't really solve your problem but would give you more information.

Another thing to check: there is a place in Settings under "Other Settings" where you can turn heart rate readings off.  I doubt you have done that accidentally, but might be worth a look.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
