High Heart Rate

Hello Everyone, has anyone been seeing high heart rate on their charge 6? The first time I noticed was on 2/10. I am a 40 year old and my Fitbit registered 213 BPM for 20 mins. Has done it a few times since. At no time did I feel any symptoms and when I took an EKG it said sinus rhythm normal.

I went to my PCP on 2/11 and he said it was probably a Fitbit error but to air in the side of caution he sent me to a cardiologist I am now wearing a 2 week continuous heart rate monitor that I only have a week left to wear and I’m scheduled for an echocardiogram and stress test. Just wanted to see if anyone else is having any anomalies?

Sitting resting when watch showed heart rate spike to 211 when my heart was very calm then drop to 50. And average HR is up significantly. Checked bloody pressure etc with proper machine and all good. I felt fine too and when I searched I found so many posts about this being an error with the watch.

I used to get spikes during exercise like that.  I started cleaning the back and my arm then making sure I wear it a full two fingers above my wrist joint.  The problem disappeared.

Thanks I will try cleaning and wearing my Fitbit further up my arm. My spikes happened while I was sitting. No physical activity.
