Is there some way to stop activity notifications on my Charge 6? As in the ones that tell me it has detected I am walking. I've done everything I can think of, including removing the exercise app from the band, but nothing makes these notifications go away. I can't find any solutions online either.
I don't care if I have to turn off all activity tracking to accomplish this, that's fine, I just want to stop notifications for activity detection.
These notifications are annoying and they're a deal breaker if I can't prevent them. I've had several previous Charge bands and none of them had this.
Help!

@theonewhowalks Your screenshot is the web dashboard. You are highlighting Fitbit's auto-recognition feature that recognizes seven different activities. The Charge 6 has an additional, different feature called Walk Detect. You can't turn off Walk Detect on the web dashboard or on your Fitbit mobile app. You must choose Walk on the Exercise app on your Charge 6, then adjust the setting there. This is the same place on your Charge 6 where you can set a goal, etc. Look for Walk Detect and toggle it off. I can't give you step by step details. The navigation on my Sense 2 is different from your Charge 6.

Hello @c1hiss and welcome to the Community. The Charge 6 has an activity feature that is new to the Charge series. You mentioned this while walking and this is Walk Detect. It starts the Exercise app with the Walk shortcut. There is also Run Detect and Bike Detect. Go to the settings within the Walk shortcut. Look for Walk Detect and toggle it off. Do the same for Run and Bike if you like to use those shortcuts without using the Exercise app.

@LZeeW Thanks for your help. Spot on!
@c1hiss Welcome to the forums. I will gladly help you deactivate the automatic detection of your activities.
You will have to go to the settings of the "walk" activity and turn off the setting "Walk Detect". The same goes for biking and running, as @LZeeW explained. Once you turn that setting off, you will stop receiving the notification. This is indeed a new feature implemented on the Charge 6. Thanks for your understanding.

I too am having this terribly annoying problem and am tired of having to charge may battery. I did a 50 minute walk and this announcement would not stop for the entire 50 minutes. If I am walking, I do not need my Fitbit to tell me that I am walking. So, to me it is clear that this annoying feature is designed to wear the battery down and shorten the life of the Charge 6. I have followed all stated directions and have hit "ignored" for all activities but above that, the auto-exercise recognition says ON with no way to toggle it off. If this is to be how my Fitbit is to work, I will throw it way and but a product from another company. This is so incredible annoying and clearly designed to wear down the battery quicker. How does one toggle off the auto-exercise recognition in the setting? It clearly says ON and does not respond when the user tries to toggle it to off. How does this feature get toggled off. I set the walk, run, etc. features to 'ignored" but it does not do a thing because the auto-exercise can not be toggled off. How does this get shut off?

Hello @theonewhowalks and welcome to the Community. I looked at your public profile and can see that you are familiar with Fitbit's auto-recognition feature (SmartTrack) This is a different feature called Walk Detect and it opens the Exercise app using the Walk shortcut. Open your Exercise app and choose the Walk shortcut. I don't know the path to get to the settings in the Walk shortcut as my Sense 2 navigates differently. You need to go to the settings in the Walk shortcut, where you can set a goal, etc. Look for Walk Detect and toggle it Off.
You might see more specific instructions if you tap on your devices/battery icon in the upper left > Charge 6 > the bright pink How To Use. There might be a link to the Charge 6 manual at the bottom of that page.

The problem is worse and keeps wearing my battery out. I do not see that the toggle offers the option to turn Off. That is deliberate so that the device wears out more quickly and therefore will need to be replaced with a new device. I see the toggle but there is no "off". It just offers "on". The device can not be toggled Off and therefore spends over an hour telling me that it detects motion, even when I am seated and no longer moving. The program for this device needs to be worked on. I see many of the same complaints. Update needed for this device so that I can turn that message off. I have followed all directions and the one step I can not follow is because I am not offered the option to turn "off". Please fix this and then advise ASAP.
can't toggle off

@LZeeW Thanks for your explanation.
@theonewhowalks Welcome to the forums. Thanks for the screenshot and the explanation.
Please note that features are implented to help users out. You are indeed able to turn off that feature. I will gladly help you manage your settings. The screenshot is from the online dashboard. You will have to go to the activity settings directly on your device. Swipe left until you find the "Exercise" app. Tap on it and then before starting the activity, swipe up to access the settings or tap on the "gear" icon. Scroll through the menu items until you find "walk detect". That you will have to toggle off. That way "walks" will not be automatically started on your device. You should change this setting for the "Run" and "Biking" activities too. That way no training will be started automatically. Have a nice day!

@RodrigoMFitbit This is not true. I have turned the setting off in the app and I have totally removed the Exercise app from the device. But I still get auto-detect notifications for walks.
It is currently impossible to disable walks from being auto-detected by the Charge 6 and this is a huge problem. And it has been highlighted in numerous threads. It's always auto-detect of walk that is the issue.

@LZeeW You are a persistent source of misinformation about this bug.
Contrary to your response, I have actually deleted the Exercise app on the Charge 6 and I STILL get unwanted auto-detection of walks. Plus I have turned off all activity detection from the app. There is currently no way to stop auto-detect of walks. Stop giving people the wrong advice, especially since you've never even used a Charge 6.
