How to I turn off the notifications for every 3000 steps?

I don't mind my Fitbit buzzing my wrist while I'm exercising but I really do not like it when it fires a notification whenever I hit 3000 steps, 6000 steps, etc. I can't find anywhere to turn these off on the web dashboard, the Android app, or my Charge 6 settings. Help please! Thanks.

Those settings are for mobile and email, not my Fitbit. And anyway if you're talking about the "Step Goal Milestones: You hit 75%, 100% or 125% of your daily goal" I already have that turned off, and I'm not even getting notifications on my Fitbit for those milestones. I have 5,000 steps as my daily goal yet I'm getting them at 3,000, 6,000, and 9,000. I see nowhere to turn those off.

Hello @flyover-country

I believe you need to turn off that same notification under Fitbit settings in the app.

  • From the Today page in the Fitbit app, tap your picture/icon (Android) or gear icon (iOS) in the upper right
  • Tap on Fitbit settings
  • Tap on Notifications
  • Here is where you can turn off/on the Push notifications, the ones that go to your device
  • You might want to swipe up to see the Email notifications as well and make sure you only have the ones you enabled

Hopefully, this should turn off the notification to your Charge 6

Totally agree. All the random notifications drive me insane. The worst is the 3000 calories one.  Several times I've gone to bed at 9:30 or 10:00 still a few calories short of the mark, only to have my fitbit wake me up at 11:45 PM to share the great news that I hit my calorie target.  What's next? A vibration for "keep up the great work! You've slept for 4 hours. Half way to a full nights rest!!"

I've successfully defeated any post-bedtime notifications by setting up a Sleep Mode schedule (on device, go Settings > Quiet Modes > Sleep Mode and enabling the schedule).
