How to see heart rate during exercise?

ANSWERED

I recently bought my first FitBit and I'm still trying to figure it out.

When I'm exercising, I can see every stat on the face of the earth except the Heart Rate.

When I tap on the display, it changes to different stats, like Time Elapsed, Pace, Calories, Distance, etc. but never the heart rate.

What am I missing?

Hi, Heather. Thanks. I figured it out.

Since it my first FitBit (and I never read manuals), I didn't realize that, when you go from one Heart Rate Zone to another, the label changes.

So, it always starts with "Heart Rate" and after it reaches a certain point, it changes to "Fat Burn" and so on, and that's what confused me.

Leonardo

Hello @killegland and welcome to the Community.  I don't own a Charge 6, but every Fitbit I've used has heart rate available as a middle stat in the Exercise app.  Which shortcut are you using?  I'm tagging a fellow PE for help.  @Heather-S, can you help this user?

If the heart rate is really missing, then we can notify Fitbit.

Hi, Laurie. Basically, I swipe left until I see the "Exercise" option.

I start the exercise and I keep tapping on the screen to see the stats. I see the following options but no Heart Rate:

- Time
- Distance
- Time Elapsed
- Zone Min.
- Pace
- Pace Avg
- Fat Burn
- Calories
- Steps

Hi @killegland.

Is the heart rate enabled in the settings? Do you see a heart rate reading during normal use, like on the clock face?

@killegland I started a Walk exercise from my Charge 6 and the third tap shows me heart rate. I would do what @N8teGee suggested and check that heart rate is turned on in the settings.

So I have the same issue -- yes I see zones, but I want to see my heart rate.  Did you figure out how to do that?

Hi, Rickardoo. The zones will diplay your heart rate. There are four zones that change depending on your heart rate.

Whenever you see one these zones while exercising, the number on the screen is your heart rate:

  1. Heart Rate
  2. Fat Burn
  3. Cardio
  4. Peak
