How to stop Charge 6 Exercise notifications?

ANSWERED

Got a Charge 6 to keep better track of my heart rate, which has been elevated after a 5 week long coma. I'm in a wheelchair and Fitbit constantly vibrates on my wrist, telling me something about a training on a crosstrainer. Rolling around? Crosstrainer. Eating? Crosstrainer. Taking a **ahem**? Crosstrainer. It's so **ahem** annoying. Sometimes it also shows me stuff about reaching goals, despite not having set any.

I've already disabled all notifications in the app and I'm not sure what I can still do, besides selling it again and trying some other device.

Hi @CarbonAlive    The Charge 6 has a feature that will start the Exercise app when it detects certain activity patterns.  Your arm movements using your wheelchair look like someone using a cross trainer (elliptical).  This Auto-start feature is in six shortcuts: walk, run, bike, cross trainer (elliptical), rowing, and spinning.  I don’t use a Charge 6, but I hope these steps are correct:

  • Swipe left/right on the screen to the Exercise app and tap on it
  • Select Cross trainer
  • Swipe up on the tiny “^” on the bottom of the screen
  • Look for Auto-start and toggle it off

If your arm movements get recognized as something else, follow the same steps in that shortcut.  There is a good chance that your arm movement can start Rowing, too.

I think your other notification is coming from a setting that tells you when you are earring active zone minutes in everyday activity.  Swipe down on your screen all the way to the Settings (gear) app.  Tap on it.  Look for AZM notifications in the Other settings and toggle it off.  Please get back to us if it is a different annoying notification.

You, sir, are a holy man. That's exactly it. I looked in the app like mad,
I didn't realize this could (only) be done in the tracker itself. This
should indeed solve the problem. Thank you very much!
