How to turn off Zone notifications?

Hi,

I have a Charge 6 and I'm new to Fitbit. When I start to workout, I like to start the activity on the Charge 6 and don't want to be disturbed by anything. But the Charge 6 vibrates and sends a lot of notifications to me. I finally find how to turn on AZM Notifications on the watch, and turned off a lot of notifications in the Fitbit app on my phone, so the notifications like "Keep it up" turned off (I guess). But on todays workout, I still got a lot of vibrations and notifications and when I checked the Charge 6, it showed someting like an icon of the Zone Min. I want to turn that off too, I don't want any workout related notification when I start a workout. How do I do that? Why is it the default settings that it vibrates and distracts every 2 minutes with something??

Select exercise you want to track and swipe app for settings. You need to disable zone notifications for each exercise individually. Also, when you get FW update all settings reset to defaults and you need to redo everything. I also found it annoying. Not only distracting vibrations but stupid messages like "keep it up!" or "slow your roll!" 🤦 more annoying when I'm doing hill sprints or all-out efforts and this "slow your roll!" tells me to slow down. Incredibly annoying.

There is a zone notification settings for Powerlifting, but for the "Tennis" exercise, there is no zone notification settings, however it did show the zone notification icon and vibrated. Is there an other settings I can turn off?

@Westside55555 I can see that. Well... not surprising at all to see one more inconsistent design on Fitbit. I don't think you can do anything about that. Maybe DND mode would supress it?

@Westside55555 Try these steps from this help article and see if it will disable the Heart Rate Zone notifications:

@Heather-S the point is that Tennis and some other sports have no such option. Tennis has only AOD toggle.

@Triletics The steps I provided above are not exercise-specific. They are the general HR zone notifications that you can turn off in the Settings app on watch, not the Exercise settings of each exercise.

Hi Heather,

I already did those but still notifies me with vibrations.

@Westside55555 I'm sorry that didn't work. If you don't want any notifications during the workout, I'd suggest turning on the Exercise focus on and it will essentially put your watch in Do Not Disturb when you are in exercise mode.

How does this work? I cannot find this feature on my Charge 6.

Will I get notification about calls and texts too? I want to be notified about important things, not these goals.

Any solution yet? I've turned off everything but I'm still getting alerts with that active zone symbol. I want to see my heart rate at a glance and get my reminder notifications and that's all! If I have to turn the heart rate off, then this watch is pretty much useless for me because of some rogue "active" notification alert. It comes on randomly, just by breathing and being alive, I get active notifications. AZM is off on the device and app, heart zone notifications are off, everything on every exercise mode is off.

HELP PLEASE, HELP😭

I’ve been having the same issue although for me whenever I get the zone notifications (“you’ve reached 150, 300, etc), my Fitbit shuts down lol. The only way to reactivate it is by attaching to the charger. Not exactly convenient while working out lol. I’ve been looking up ways to turn off those specific notifications but there is no way to. People suggest Garmin which I will likely buy for my next one. I can’t see dropping money on another Fitbit with this kind of critical program error.
