Hi I just bought my charge 6. I set up but the numbers on my app don’t match the Fitbit. Have reset loads of times. Eventually the steps generally match but for instance this morning at 7am it is saying I have burnt 650 calories when I have only done 129 steps which by my calculations is impossible! Traded my very old reliable Fitbit for this new one and not impressed at all! Second day it said I had done 2,000 steps by 8am and I had not even left the house and got up at 7. Any advice? Thinking I may have wasted my money…

For the calories, I think you're forgetting that the number you see also includes your BMR (Basilic Metabolic Rate), which not only includes exercise, but it includes EVERYTHING you do, from breathing to resting. By doing each of these activities, as minimal as they may seem, you are burning calories. So yes, that number is accurate.
As far as the steps, that's a little harder. The only thing I can think of is if the device was near something that vibrates (such as a fan), then it would count the vibrations as steps.
