I just purchased a Charge 6. My FitBit App won't let me add it unless I migrate my account over to Google. It requires me to agree to four terms and will not let me opt out of any of them. Term 2 allows Google to use my data to provide Fitbit products and services. Term 4 makes me consent to arbitration. In talking to customer service, it sounds like my only option is to not use FitBit if I don't want Google in my life even more than it is. Has anyone found a way around the terms or do we have the ability to change what we consent to once I migrate my account?

What kind of arbitration?
Do they force you to waive your right to use a regular court of law against them?
Are you in the EU?

@Lori123456 not sure if you are aware of this but those of us with fitbit accounts have been informed that we must change to a Google account by 2025. If we do not do so voluntarily they will do it to us. So the only way to avoid ending up with your fitbit on a Google account is not to have one by then and to clear your fitbit account if you have one.
You may want to reconsider your purchase if you feel that strongly about Google.

Are there any drawbacks to having a separate Google account just for the health data?
Probably with the same credit cards set up in Google Wallet there as with the main account?
