The new app and my new Charge 6 just aren’t working well together. I’m using an iPhone 13 that is fully updated. I’m a 10+ year Fitbit user (Charge 3,4,5, pedometer) , so I’m used to the software being quirky at times, though this combination elevates it to a new level.
Here’s the list:
No notice of the very recent app update to version 202.94. Is it possible to notify users on the app itself? I learned about the update while trying to fix issues with the new app. Unfortunately, the update didn’t fix my issues, and made one worse.
The new app doesn’t automatically update to the current day. Since the new app rolled out I have to manually advance to Today and manually sync with my Charge 6.
No GPS route map after walks, etc. I found the convoluted fix in the forum after buying the Charge 6, but after the app update, those steps no longer work. While I cannot see the route map on the app, it is visible on the web dashboard.
Yes, I have taken all the typical suggested steps - force quit, delete and re-install the app, disconnect Bluetooth, reboot phone, etc. No improvement.
My experience as a user has declined dramatically because it seems that users are expected to remember and maneuver multi-step workarounds for each software bug.
Can someone from Fitbit weigh in with news that these bugs will be fixed.
