Hello @Fbit123
That's definitely not normal behavior. Since the device is new and you haven't even been able to set it up, you should return it and get a replacement.
If you purchased your device from the Google store, contact Support (<-- click link). Complete the prompts until you get the option to chat or call.

Same experience. I got mine 3 days ago, and it took 2 complete hours to charge to 100% as compared to my Fitbit Sense which takes half that time.

Try a new usb charger you need 5v 0.5amp which is standard usb output. Setting up tracker charging times will increase especially if Downloading/updating firmware. Shouldn’t be no longer than 2 hours fully charged under normal charging conditions. If the device doesn’t last longer than 4 days have a talk with support. GPS use in general uses alot of power so alway best to use phones gps and save tracker battery life.

Hi there everyone!
@Fbit123 and @TrishulP, welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thank you so much for sharing with us that your Charge 6 are not charging as expected.
@robworkingout and @RiekoC thanks for your help too!
I suggest you try a long restart and then check if you can update your devices:
1. Connect your device to the charging cable.
2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second. (Note: If your charger doesn’t have a button, you can instead disconnect your tracker from the charging cable, pause for 1 second, then reconnect it. Repeat 3 times.)
3. Wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.
If the device doesn’t restart, wait 15 seconds and try again.
Then follow the instructions from these articles: How do I update my Fitbit device? and Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

Yes exactly. I still think it's because the software needs updation but unfortunately the software can't be updated unless the device has 50 percent charge. Sort of a catch 22 situation.
The fitbit customer care explained all troubleshooting steps. Finally asked to get it replaced. But the first step of replacement is inspection of device for which I'm supposed to pay Rs 850 for inspection chargesw.hich is definitely unfair considering it's a half day old device. Finally inreturned it to the retail store. They will get me a replacement

Hi there @Fbit123! Thanks for your reply and for the update.
I'm glad to read that you will soon get a replacement from the retail store and am sorry for the inconveniences this situation has caused.
