No magnetic pull from cable to fitbit

Just bought Fitbit 6 today . Brought it home to charge but there is no magnetic pull between the cable and the fitbit. and yes i did pull the wrapped band off !!

The original Charge 6 charger has very weak magnets. I found my Charge 6 battery not charged after sitting it on a charger several times because tracker didn't make contact with the charger. I bought a third-party charger from Amazon that snaps to the tracker much stronger.
