No notification for messaging apps (WhatsApp, Messenger, Messages) fitbit charge 6

Hello,

I used Fitbit Charge 6 with my iPhone SE - 2nd generation (initially iOS 16 and now iOS 17.5.1).

However, I cannot get notifications for messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Messenger, Messages...). It only notifies incoming calls (including WhatsApp calls). I already turned on notifications on the Fitbit app for these applications and shared system notifications in my Bluetooth settings.

Is it impossible to get notifications due to my iPhone SE?

Hello @sam_tran

I don't think your phone is the issue considering it's running iOS 17. The compatibility requirement is iOS 15 or higher.

I've seen that iOS users need to adjust the app settings on their iPhones in order to get notifications to work on their Fitbits. This help article has recommended troubleshooting steps to try: How do I get notifications from my phone to my Fitbit? (<-- click link)

Hi RiekoC,

Thank you for your suggestions. I have tried these troubleshooting steps but it still does not work.

I also have an issue with connecting Google Maps to the Fitbit device, similar to this link: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Charge-6-Google-Maps-setup-404-Error/td-p/5571277

I have tried deleting the Fitbit app and reinstalling it, but the errors persist.

Hello @sam_tran

Thank you for letting us know that the troubleshooting steps didn't work.

I'm not sure that this will help, but there's a Moderator post in the iOS app forum in response to a similar issue (<-- click link).

You might want to try browsing in the iOS app forum to see if there might be additional help there.

I am having the sane issue. I never had problems with my versa, it just got old and I needed to replace it.

Hello @Deniselmbrt

Have you had a chance to review the information from the link in my first reply? It has troubleshooting steps to try.

Also, are you an Android or iOS user?

Sadly, yes. I've tried everything imaginable. I'm ready to ditch the fitbit
charge 6 and I've only had it a couple months.

Hello @Deniselmbrt

If you aren't able to get your notifications to work, you might have a defective device and should contact Support (<-- click link). Complete the prompts until you get the option to chat or call.
