Not Recognizing Exercises Automatically

ANSWERED

I have a fitbit Charge 6 and the smart track auto exercise recognition is not very accurate. I was playing a sport for thirty minutes and when I synced to my phone, it says that I haven't exercised at all today. Fitbit Moderators: Please help to fix this issue. I am on IOS.

I tried another exercise and smart track recognized it. Maybe sometimes it doesn't work.

@john123john I know that is frustrating but my best advice is that if you want your activity tracked, you should always start it from your watch to get the best experience and most accurate tracking. The smart track is great in theory, but relies on your wrist to be moving in some capacity for a length of time and I assume it may need an elevated heart rate as well in order to know you are exercising. This leaves some room for error.

If you want your activity to count and not be missed, definitely track it from your watch instead of hoping smart track picks it up.

even cheaper fitness trackers are more reliable at their price points. Fitbit is now ruining the whole experience.

Yes, I know that, but this is a feature available with the device and it should be working properly.

It's a bug.  My previous fb recognized walking as exercise every time.  The "new, improved" 6 does not.  Same person, same routine.   Bug.
