How to see notifications from other apps like Viber, Telegram or Instagram

Hello @Helenrl
I apologize if you've already followed these instructions to get notifications from your phone to your Fitbit (<-- click link) and are still having problems with getting notifications.
If you don't see the app in your list, it is very likely that notifications from that app are currently not supported.

Do you need to set up the app on an android with Fitbit Premium before the notifications kick in? I have tried absolutely everything in order that all the instructions and still zip notifications received.
Cheers

After I posted my first message on the community board, I got a notification, but only on the community board. There is no notification on the Fitbit app 'dashboard'.
I did receive a 'welcome' email to my Fitbit account email address too.
When I initially went into 'settings' on the Fitbit dashboard on my HP desktop computer, I went into the settings (cogwheel), from there into the notification settings, and could choose between receiving notifications via mobile or email. I can no longer find my way to go back into the notification settings and change my choices. I can get into notification settings but I can no longer choose between mobile or email. I initially chose mobile for something things, and email choice now has a dash and I cannot choose email. Here is a screen snip of part of the notification settings choice page I am referring to. I have the Fitbit app installed on an Samsung A24 as well if that helps.
I am also having trouble setting 'weight' in another area, the 'personal' settings of this page. Every time I attempt to input my weight, I get a message 'must be a valid weight between ....'. The country will not set to the correct country until I can get the weight in, and submit. Any help you are able to offer would be greatly appreciated!

Hello @tikityboo
You don't need a Premium subscription to get notifications. You do need to setup the Fitbit app on a compatible device (phone or tablet) running Android 9 or higher / iOS 15 or higher.
The on-line fitbit.com dashboard has minimal functions/features and has not been updated with any new features. All the Fitbit features are managed through the Fitbit app.

Thanks Rieko!
I have also set everything up through using the 'settings' on the Fitbit app on my Samsung Galaxy A24 which is running Android 10. I had done this prior to putting my request for assistance on the community board. Still NO notifications being received via the app on my phone, after having followed all instructions to the letter. I do however, receive notifications from the community board via my Fitbit login using the same google email that I used to set up the Fitbit on my phone, via the notifications area on the online Fitbit community board using my HP windows 10 desktop and loging in via fitbit.com. The notifications area of the Fitbit app on my phone, has zilch messages or emails received.
On my phone using the settings location, I have setup push notifications for low battery, step goal milestones, messages, exercise goal milestones, auto recognized exercises, research invites, health studies, sleep updates, and email notifications for low battery, messages, weekly summary, news and updates, and research updates. No notifications are being received via the Fitbit app on my Samsung Galaxy A24 android 10.
There has to be some hiccup in the design of Fitbit app and the way that notifications should be kicking-in, for notifications not being received on my phone via the Fitbit app. With many people obviously having similar issues - and taking the time to post to the community board seeking assistance, one would consider our pleas would be attended to promptly.
Cheers

Hello @tikityboo
Thank you for letting us know what you've already tried to do so notifications will appear on your Charge 6. Since none of the recommended troubleshooting steps worked, I'm at a loss on what else to suggest.
I have seen a few user reports where they restarted both their phones and Fitbit devices, which got their notifications working again. Although you've likely already tried this, it might be worth trying it again.
For now, I'll continue checking the forums to see if I can find a solution and report back.
Although I'm kind of hesitant to suggest it, you could also contact Fitbit support (<-- click link). Most likely, they will have you repeat the troubleshooting steps you've already done. But they might have another suggestion to try.

Thank you Rieko. I have had a bit of a breakthrough. I had not adjusted settings in Google Chrome notifications. It is not my choice of browser, so I adjusted notifications this morning and got one almost immediately from Fitbit direct to my Samsung phone.
I use Firefox as my main browser and adjusted notifications there too.
So it appears an adjustment needs to be made on browser settings as well as phones especially Chrome given that is under control of Google.
Hope this hint helps other Fitbitters!
Note the notifications are not received into Fitbit app's notification area. They come direct to the phone ... mine is Samsung A24 android 10.
Phew

And if someone has multi Google accounts that use different google email addresses, they need to ensure the Chrome browser that uses the same email address that is used for Fitbit, has the notifications turned on.

Hello @tikityboo
Thank you so much for sharing what you did to fix your problem. It didn't occur to me to check the browser settings.
I'm sure this will help other users.
