Random exercises starting without me selecting them?

I have a Charge 6 for starters. Like a week ago I was shoveling snow and when I got in my fitbit was showing that I was biking. I hadn't selected that and I assumed that my jacket got wet and started it by rubbing against it or something. But just now I was literally just sitting at my computer and it randomly started a spinning exercise. Is my fitbit broken or is this some known glitch?

I'd say it was because of your arm movements. The FitBit detects arm movements and can take them as steps or exercise.

@prem0069   I looked at your public profile and see that you have experience with a different model.  The Charge 6 has an additional feature which wasn’t on your Inspire 3 (but was added).  There is an Auto-start feature that will turn on the Exercise app and is on six shortcuts:  walk, run, bike, elliptical, indoor rowing, and spinning.  They are on by default.  This is different from the auto-recognition that you can control in the Fitbit app.

You must go to the settings in each shortcut.  Look for the Auto-start option and toggle it off.
