Recording a run

Hi, on my charge 2, if I’m walking and then start running it records without problem, changes from walking to running but on the 6 it doesn’t happen, why?? Do I have to tell the charge 6 that I’m going to run?? It’s akward to do it manually

I was randomly switching from walking to running and back to walking today and the device did not record any activities either even if I did it for almost an hour. My guess is because my device is set to auto recognize a walk or a run after 15 + minutes of that particular activity and my intervals were shorter than that. In otehr words, I have never walked for 15 minutes before switching to running and then I ran for less than 15 minutes before switching back to walking and so on. The intervals were always shorter than 15 minutes each. I am guessing if auto recognize exercise settings were changed to 5 + or something minutes then the device might have picked up better what was actually going on. I might try it next time.

You can change auto recognize exercise settings (on Android) by tapping on your profile picture, then Fitbit Settings, Activity & Wellness, Exercise.

Hi @SunsetRunner & @Egdecarvajal

Just to let you know, the smallest interval of time that you can set for auto-recognized activities is 10+ minutes, which is what I use. Apparently, an interval of 5+ minutes isn't considered long enough to register as a workout/activity.

Guess 23 and 26 minutes is more than enough, the solution for me is to wear my charge 2, it detects the changes, so it’s a software thing, why mess with what is right
