Screen only shows colored lines. When I swipe to different screen, lines change to match what that screen should show. Online forum said to remove device and restart and it would fix the issue. It did not and now I can’t add the device back on since I can’t read the 4 digit code to pair it to the app. No restart seems to be working otherwise.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated

Sad to hear that you're having an issue with your Charge 6.
Although you've mentioned already having tried this, I'd suggest to once again restarting your device as it sometimes requires more than one attempt to restart Charge 6. So, before throwing the towel, please give it another try closely follow these instructions as timing is crucial for this procedure:
1.) Connect your Charge 6 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a reliable power source.
2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charging cable 3 times within 8 seconds(!), holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait around 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on your device's display.
If your Charge 6 won't restart, please make sure that its charging contacts are clean. In doubt please have a closer look here:

I have tried doing this probably 20 times over the last 3 days and it has not worked. My screen is still just colored lines
