A new and irritating bug appeared the last day or so... I set my FitBit Charge 6 Screen Wake = MANUAL... it is all good and well for about 10minutes and then resets to Screen Wake = AUTO.
Tried all things, changed the Face to the default one, reset the FitBit, enabled/disabled sleep mode, and some other settings... each time, reset from Screen Wake Manual to Auto.
I realised, EACH time the Mobile APP syncs, the Screen Wake setting is reverted to "Auto".
FitBit App is latest, I also reset the phone - (not yet gone so far as to fix Google's mess and uninstall/reinstall the FitBit App)
Suggestions - other than to reinstall the app
Charge 6 (Firmware 220.31)
FitBit App (Android, v4.61.1)

Same issue as above
Setting the screen wake to manual is reverted back to auto on manual or auto sync from the app.

Came here for the first time looking for a solution to this new problem, glad to see it's not just me experiencing this recently.

Seems a second Wake setting was added. The original, in display settings, remains unchanged. The new one, scroll up five screens, is one that keeps flipping to 'auto'.

I tried setting both of them at the same time and just one or the other. Both of them revert to auto when the app syncs.

Update: it's flipping when it syncs with the app.

I noticed yesterday that my Charge 6 is reverting the screen wake setting. I keep this setting on manual for battery life, and it is continuously reverting this back to auto. So far I have tried restarting the device on my wrist, restarting the device on the charger via the button on the cable, and erasing user data on the Charge 6 and resyncing it to my account. It still continues to change the setting back to auto. Does anyone have any experience with this or suggestions for other things I could try?

I have this same issue and it's driving me nuts. I'm almost ready to get rid of the device completely at this point. Following for an answer.

Yesterday, 2/9/26, my Inspire 3 started independently turning on the autowake feature. I prefer to keep it off to preserve battery life and because the light annoys me at night.
Things I tried:
1. restarting
2. clearing data
3. uninstalling and reinstalling the app
4. pairing the fitbit with my phone after clearing data and reinstalling the app
All of these things failed. I have not changed the clock face. It takes less than five minutes for autowake to turn itself back on after I have turned it off. This happens even when I am sitting still with no movement and short sleeves, so there is nothing physically available to turn autowake back on.
Why is this happening? Has there been a stealth update?
Though I don't wish this problem on others, I do hope that if others are experiencing it, they will help move this comment to the top of the community list..

Started noticing this yesterday. My watch will turn the button push wake off and turn to auto wake. Multiple times yesterday and today I have to keep turning it back to manual wake.

I am also having this pro with my versa. On Reddit it looks as though a number of other users are also having the problem. Hope they fix it!

Yes!!! I have factory reset, reinstalled the app, everything known and it wont stop auto waking! And my battery is drained in 24 hours. Super frustrating! No matter how many times I change it to button only within minutes it's back to button and motion.

I have an Inspire device that I have been using for over a year. All of the sudden, the Screen Wake setting keeps resetting to ON, I assume this happens every time it syncs with the Android Fitbit app. I prefer the setting to remain off.
Please note: this is the first version of the Inspire. I do not wear the device on a wrist band. I have not found how to turn off all-day sync in the Android app. I have rebooted the device (but have not done a factory reset)..

I’m having the exact same issue & I did all the things you tried and none of it worked. I even went into the fitbit settings right on my fitbit itself to make sure auto-wake was off and it is, but it keeps turning on all by itself. Sure hope they fix this.

I've been having this problem since the latest update and I've tried everything you listed too. Ever time the watch syns with the phone it automatically turns auto wake back on. I really hope they fix this soon!!
