Searching for earlier fitbit exercise data?

ANSWERED

I would like to view past year's data and see how much I've improved. In past app versions, you could easily scroll thru the activities. Now, that simple feature has apparently vanished and it's all been "compartmentalized" into a generic daily page. Or has it?

Hi, @danys1 , I think the best way to see the bigger picture of your long term activity trends is to go to the web based dashboard.  You can access it at Www.fitbit.com , but you will also find a link to it on the top right of every page when you are logged in here in the Community Forums.  On the top right of this page click on “Dashboard”.  From the opening page click on “Log” at the top and then choose “Activities”.

On your activities log you will see a list of everything you have logged.  Also, you will note that there is a bar graph showing steps, calories, etc. which you can view by month, year, etc.  You will also see that there is a search box where you can set dates for the graph to show, so that you can easily compare your stats by the year and see the change.

It’s worth taking some time to explore the web based dashboard as it has some features that the app lacks.  Unfortunately there are some issues with it - because most people focus only on the app, the web based dashboard does not get as much attention and priority from the software engineers.  Hopefully they will keep it ticking over, however!

I'm looking for something similar and now when I go to the fitbit.com dashboard, it just says to "find the dashboard in the Fitbit app". Is there any other way that exists now?

Hi, @tmusselman , unfortunately the web version of the Fitbit dashboard has recently been removed and there are now only the options available in the app.  Under the exercise tab you can see recent exercises, and can view past ones month by month.

I would like to know how to do this also. With the elimination of the dashboard being available online someone would have to go day by day to even get historical exercise data from say a year ago.

Absolute joke to be honest. Why is finding previous exercise history so hard.
