Sleep mode schedule

Hi all. I've tried to schedule a sleep mode, if I toggle sleep mode on the the quiet settings notifications do not come through during the scheduled hours however it does not wake up after the wake up time. If I toggle  sleep mode off notifications come through as normal even tho there is a time scheduled. Any help appreciated.  Thank you.

You said "If I toggle sleep mode on".  That made me wonder if you were doing that in Quick Settings, after setting the sleep mode schedule.  Once you have turned Sleep Mode on in Settings and set the schedule, there is no need to toggle it on again.  If you then go to quick settings and toggle it on, it puts you in Sleep Mode immediately disregarding your schedule.
But if that is not what you were doing, disregard this.

Thank you for your reply
So if I put it into sleep mode in menu, then go into quiet mode and set the schedule which has then changed sleep mode to on already , I get no notifications at all outside of the schedule

I'm sorry, I'm just not understanding  what you mean by "if I put it into sleep mode in menu".  I don't understand "in menu".  There is a 'Quick Settings' which has a half moon symbol for sleep mode.  Is that what you are talking about?

Sorry..
pull the screen down to access menu moon with/ , or I can go to the settings cog and there is quiet mode where the schedule is..
If the schedule is toggled On & time set .. does the sleep mode above this need to be on or off..

Sometime, once during the daytime, perhaps now, pull the screen down to access the moon symbol.  Make sure it is turned off there.  If the symbol is bright, tap it to toggle it off.  Go back to main clock face. You can be sure is off if screen will come on with wrist turn (and you can get notifications).
Never touch that again, unless it accidentally gets turned on.  That is only there as an alternative for people who don't want to set a schedule, or perhaps might want to just use it for one night, turning it on at night, then turning it off in the morning.
But when you have set a schedule, you should never need to touch that.
