Step counter

I am still having problems with the step counter. I have carried my phone and worn my watch. My phone says I'm on 2000 steps whilst my watch says 11,000. I understand they pick up movements but this is a massive difference. I can take how I can wear my watch all day and use the data from health when it is so sensitive it adds nearly 10,000 more steps and Im not even half way through the day. Any suggestions? I think I'm going to send it back unfortunately

Hello @Weasy8

By any chance, when you set up the Fitbit app on your phone, did you also add your phone as a connected device? To check:

  • Tap on the device icon in the upper left of the Today page in the Fitbit app
  • On the page that opens, you'll see your Charge 6 under Devices. If you also see Phone, then you've added your phone as connected device.

Having your phone as connected device is a feature that allows you to track your steps & workouts when you aren't wearing your Fitbit. If you see Phone as a connected device, you can tap on it, follow the prompts, and remove it.
